A patient-facing mobile app redesign that reduced appointment scheduling time by 40%. End-to-end UX from research to final handoff.

Overview

Meridian came to us with a fragmented scheduling experience spread across three legacy systems. Through six weeks of user research — including contextual inquiry sessions with patients aged 45–70 — we identified the core friction: too many steps before a booking was confirmed. The redesign consolidated the flow into a single progressive-disclosure interface, introduced smart defaults based on visit history, and reduced the scheduling flow from eleven steps to four. Delivered as a Figma component library with annotated handoff specs and a developer sandbox in Storybook.
