Overview

Cascade's power users were spending 40% of their session time re-orienting after switching contexts between dashboard views. The audit revealed three root causes: inconsistent component behaviors across modules, no persistent wayfinding in dense table views, and no progressive disclosure — everything was visible at once. The redesign introduced a sticky summary bar that persists key metrics across scroll, a unified filter panel replacing per-widget controls, and a density toggle allowing users to switch between compact and comfortable spacing profiles. Shipped in two phases over four months, with a full handoff to the engineering team in a shared Figma Dev Mode workspace.
